Haha. It will be interesting (at best) to see what happens when the government's backing goes ka-poot. Though actually, wouldn't burning paper money be good for the economy, by bringing inflation down?

While I do enjoy reading about economics, money-supply isn't something I'm terribly familiar with. I do know that trying to fix an economic downturn by printing more cash is a recipe for hyper-inflation and disaster (example: Zimbabwe), but intentionally depressing the money supply is also bad (example: causes of the Great Depression). Personally I'm in favor of abolishing the Federal Reserve and returning America to the gold standard so that markets can grow naturally without government intervention and the problems it causes.

Awesome picture! A over inflated economy should be allowed to fail and as we go down the economy of China will go down with us. It will be interesting to see who China goes to war with as they are a nation of young unemployed men and historically unemployed horny young men end up fighting someone.
